WIFT Berlinale Event: How Much Feminine Intelligence Is In AI?

Opportunities and risks of new technologies for development, production and distribution of film, TV and streaming content.

15 years of our annual, renowned WIFT event at Berlinale!

In 2020, our headline is „Feminine Intelligence“ and how much it is represented by the Artificial Intelligence used in our industry. With our program we are focusing on the intersection of film and technology, and the impact of AI on the stories we tell, how we tell them and why. We look at the important aspect of intersectionality and how new technology, data and algorithms might reinforce existing unconscious biases. To what extent does AI make us think “outside the box”? How does AI provide us with new possibilities in respect to financing, production and distribution? How do women already participate in this AI driven evolution? With their pioneering spirits our experts have already achieved impressive results in this field! They will share their experiences and perspectives on the future with us.

About 250 mostly female film & TV professionals will gather again to discuss relevant industry-specific issues and to connect with industry professionals over a wide variety of crafts, countries and continents – as an integral part of actions to highlight and further the importance of gender equality in the film industry.
